Questions we've received from Colleges and Universities

We wanted to share some of the questions we've been asked by Collegiate stakeholders as they navigate the decision-making process in how to best improve their indoor tennis facilities.

• Can you provide a photometric report based upon what you're recommending for our facility?
  • We can definitely provide a photometric report from Cree.  Information typically required in order to put this report together includes:
    • parameters of the proposed lighting system
    • lighting layout
    • square footage of the facility with peak and eave height

• • • reflectivity of the current ceiling liner and walls
    • how far light fixtures will be hung from ceiling

• Is a control system included with your lighting system?
  • Generally we don’t change the controls.  If you are able to turn on one court at a time now that will be the same after the installation
• Can the lights be controlled individually?  
  
  • With our Control System (which is not included with our LED System) you are able to control each light separately and dim individual fixtures or courts as well as turn fixtures off and on (We've installed our control system at Ohio State and Virginia Tech's indoor tennis facilities)
  • One of the great things about LED is that they are instant on/instant off 
•  Can the control system be controlled via phone/ app software? 
  • Yes, our Control System does include a tablet and software to control the lighting.  It allows you to turn lights on and off and dim them to any level from the tablet
• What are the typical mounting heights of the light fixtures? 
  • We generally install the light fixtures between 5 and 7 feet from the ceiling
•  What is the spec of the proposed light fixture and any lens being proposed?
  • We can provide a spec sheet of the proposed fixture upon request
  • Cree Lighting developed a custom 189 Watt LED fixture specifically for Sports Interiors, designed exclusively for indirect application 
  • The warranty is supported by Cree
• Does your package have any battery packs, egress lighting/ emergency lights in the proposed solution?
  • Our LED Solution does not include battery packs, egress lighting or emergency lights
• What is the warranty of the LED System?
  
  • There is a 5 year full warranty which includes replacement of any fixture that fails in that time.  Upon request, we can provide documentation from Cree
